The Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The 17 goals were created as a guideline for working towards a sustainable society worldwide. These goals are essential not only to our survival, but to a meaningful existence for all.
For 10 years people all over the world were surveyed, and engaged on what they need to survive with meaning. Conversation after conversation referenced basic needs like food, sanitation, health services as key. Researchers distilled the sentiments of Earth into a set of common needs and principles.
